According to an article in WPTV News, a
Palm Beach County bus aide is facing serious charges. He has been
accused of sexual battery for exposing himself and inappropriately touching a little girl riding the bus on Tuesday afternoon.
The Details
Thony Desir, 39, has admitted to inappropriately touching a young girl and exposing himself, according to police. The victim, a young special needs child in elementary school, told her mother what had happened the following day. Police were called immediately.
Desir’s family had been waiting for him to return home all evening, as he does just about everyday. However, Wednesday was different because he was being booked into jail.
According to the article, an affidavit says the sexual battery occurred just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon on the school bus as the victim was being taken to her after school program. The little girl says Desir exposed himself to her and touched her beneath her clothing.
Desir was questioned Wednesday afternoon by detectives and admitted to touching her. He also admitted that what he did was inappropriate. He faces one felony count of sexual battery on a child under the age of 12. He will face a judge Thursday morning
Desirr has a wife and five children, three girls and two boys.
Palm Beach County Sexual Battery Defense
This case is specifically unfortunate because the man who was admitted to committing the crime was an aide entrusted to take care of special needs children. Desir will most likely be convicted and his sentence will be severe because the victim was so young and he was in a position of trust.
