Did you know that Medicaid paid for more than 49 million doses of oxycodone pills over two years? The Palm Beach Post conducted an analysis of 1.7 million Florida prescription records but astoundingly, only 1.36 million adults are enrolled in Medicaid. There are no doubts that doctors in pill mills are continuing to peddle pills to addicts and drug dealers even as the state of Florida wars with the flow of prescription drug trafficking. The in-depth analysis breaks down the amount of prescriptions paid for by Medicaid in relation to the famous pill mill busts in 2010 and 2011. 
Ponzi Scheme in Fort Lauderdale
One of two Ponzi scheme suspects has been freed from jail on bond after he and his alleged accomplice were arrested on charges they defrauded more than a dozen investors out of more than $6 million, records show.
Victor Brown, 54, of Hollywood, posted $150,000 bond for his release from Broward's Main Jail on Thursday evening. On Friday morning, his business partner, Roger Green, 78, of Stuart, remained jailed on the same bond amount.
Both men were taken into custody Wednesday on charges of racketeering and conspiracy to commit first-degree racketeering, authorities said. The story is reported by Juan Ortega, Sun Sentinel.

It seems that we are hearing about cops committing crimes more often these days. It has been rumored that when police officers are charged with crimes, they suffer sentences that are much less severe than those of average citizens. This is evidenced by the fact that even when law enforcement officers are on leave after the crime surfaced, they are still paid.
Update: Pill Mill Brothers Face a Judge
The pill mill brothers, Chris and Jeff George, were indicted in October of last year on federal weapons charges. The two were indicted and arrested along with several doctors working for them in their pain clinics after amassing millions from their pain clinics. The brothers were living a lavish lifestyle while the doctors they employed supplied prescription pills to drug traffickers and dealers pouring in from Kentucky, Ohio, and South Carolina.
