Weapons Charges Defense
In many cases, weapons charges result in a mandatory minimum prison sentence of three years. Even if you are not sentenced to time in prison, being charged with possession of a concealed weapon like in the case above, it will be on your criminal record and will absolutely have a negative effect on your life.
Hire a criminal defense lawyer who knows what he’s doing so that not only you won’t have to go to prison, but you need to do something about your criminal record as well. Your criminal record will follow you everywhere. Many employers require a background check and will not hire someone with a criminal record. Even landlords will refuse to rent to people with a criminal record. It is not a good reflection on you and can ruin your chances of living a normal life.
The smartest thing for you to do to avoid the humiliation and frustration that will come from being charged with possession of a weapon and adding to your criminal record would be to talk to a criminal defense lawyer.
