A Lantana pet shop owner has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty. A discovery at Forever Puppies led authorities to search her apartment where they found a gruesome scene. The woman had been known to stockpile animals in her home, but authorities were hardly prepared for what they found there. Man Arrested for Fatally Stabbing Dog

According to the Palm Beach Post, a man was charged with animal cruelty with death for cutting his dog’s throat twice last Saturday. Kenneth Russell Hall, 39, cut his pit bull’s throat after the dog got into a fight with another dog, then again to make sure it was dead. Hall has a history of arrests including probation violation, DUI, and domestic battery. He was being held with a $10,000 bail. Cat Killer Case Goes to Trial in Palm Beach County, Florida

A former teacher who is accused of leaving her two cats in her apartment for over a month without food or water is in Palm Beach County court this week. The Boca Raton Woman said she didn’t have time to feed her animals and didn’t check them for over a month, according to police. Jury selection in the Alison Dinsmore felony animal cruelty trial began Monday and closing arguments are today. Alison Dinsmore was a teacher at Congress Middle School in Boynton Beach when she was arrested in April 2009.
