According to WPTV News Channel 5, Palm Beach County Commissioner John “Jeff” Koons was arrested Tuesday and charged with extortion, perjury (when not in official proceeding), and violation of Florida’s Sunshine Law. Koons, a Democrat, has been pushing the South Cove project. The South Cove project is a waterfront environmental project in the Lake Worth Lagoon. The project includes the creation of a manmade island located just east of Flagler Drive to ignite healthy marine life, and the construction of an elevated boardwalk connecting to Flagler Drive, according to the probable cause affidavit. Michael Morris Booth was sent an email containing child pornography from a friend. He confessed viewing the photos when he received them to the police. On March 21, 2010 in California, the death of Taylor Powell at the hands of mixed martial arts fighter Jarrod Wyatt turned out to be one of the most bizarre and gruesome murder cases of the year.
