How People Were Arrested for Celebratory Gunfire on New Year’s

As I reported in a previous article, people firing guns for celebration of the New Year should expect to be arrested. According to an article in WPTV News, police arrested five people New Year’s Day for celebratory gunfire. A police officer reported seeing several people firing in the neighborhood. According to arrest reports, he pulled his own weapon and ordered four suspects to the ground. Everett Jermaine Hall, 25, complied with the officer’s order and was charged with misdemeanor firing of a weapon in public. Three other suspects reportedly fled into a nearby house, where officers reported finding several pistols and rifles.
